A campanha da LPCC vem alertar a população para esta doença oncológica, cujos sintomas são difusos e sem sinais específicos, através de diferentes materiais digitais e físicos – folhetos, vídeos com testemunhos de uma hematologista, uma sobrevivente e uma cuidadora – com informação sobre a doença.

Em Portugal, todos os anos cerca de 1700 pessoas diagnosticadas com Linfoma não Hodgkin (LNH) e, embora possa ocorrer em qualquer idade, a maioria dos casos está acima dos 60 anos de idade, com um ligeiro predomínio no sexo masculino.

O Linfoma é um grupo de doenças resultantes da acumulação de linfócitos (um subtipo de glóbulos brancos) malignos nos gânglios linfáticos.
